What is Matthew Southgate's role?
I founded the business and remain involved in technical direction, cybersecurity, resilience, complex infrastructure and the decisions that affect client risk. My personal consulting work and 39D are closely connected: I can provide direct senior input, while 39D provides the wider team needed for ongoing managed support.
Why the network background matters
39D grew from a strong networking and telecommunications background. My experience with ISP networks, BGP, IPv6, high availability and DDoS resilience means the business can look beyond laptops and help clients understand the complete technology chain their organisation depends on.
