The challenge
A growing service-provider environment needed greater capacity, clearer routing policy and improved resilience without placing the existing customer base at unnecessary risk.
The architecture
The target design used dual carrier-grade routers, resilient internal routing, documented BGP policy, RPKI validation, management separation and staged service migration.
Migration control
Each stage included pre-change evidence, explicit rollback points, route verification and customer-impact checks. Capacity and policy were tested before moving the next service group.
The outcome
The new platform created a clearer operational model for 100G growth, reduced hidden routing assumptions and gave the engineering team repeatable migration and troubleshooting evidence.
